Basement Heroes is a reskin of the 2048 puzzle game "City maker" of which we bought the code and released it with new graphics, features and story line for Android.
I had the idea, realized and art directed the game with my team at Game Art Brain GmbH.


The game's story: Conrad lives in the 90s and is a bit of a nerdy kid whose dream it is to get his favorite game characters into the real world. In the family basement he set up his little home made laboratory where connects his console to an altered lawn mower. It seems to finally work but he at first manages to only summon little yellow brains. Then he finds out that he needs to combine two characters in order to summon a different bigger character. In his obsession to create more even bigger and better game characters he cannot stop and ends up summoning a huge evil yellow brain who breaks out of the basement and threatens the neighborhood. Now it is his responibilitay to convince the other game characters he created to join his mission to rescue the world from it.
